இன்று காலை தமிழ் இணையம் 2004 மாநாடு சிங்கப்பூரில் தொடங்கியது. இப்பொழுதுதான் ஒருவழியாக இணைய இணைப்பைப் பெற்றிருக்கிறேன். சிறிது சிறிதாக என் பதிவில் செய்திகளை அனுப்புவேன்.
இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் அப்துல் கலாமின் உரையுடன் (கல்யாணசுந்தரத்தால் வாசிக்கப்பட்டது) தொடங்கியது. அதற்கு முன்னர் முத்து நெடுமாறன், அருண் மகிழ்நன் உரைகள்.
முதல் அமர்வு அனந்த கிருஷ்ணன் தலைமையில் "Tools for Computing" என்ற தலைப்பில்.
அன்பரசன் "Migration Needs for Tamil Users" என்ற தலைப்பில் பேசினார். இதன் விவரங்கள் பின்னால். பெரதானியா பல்கலைக்கழகப் பேராசிரியர் சிவசேகரத்தின் "Ergonomic considerations in the design of Tamil Keyboard layout" என்ற பெயரில் எழுதியிருந்த கட்டுரையை முத்து நெடுமாறன் அளித்தார்.

Unfortunately - unlike in Chennai, where I was in home turf, the connectivity here didn't work out well. I am using dialup from my hotel to feed this in.
ReplyDeleteIn the conference venue, the wi-fi that I thought would exist, didn't. I could use an ethernet lan for a while, but not always. Also there are so many other programs on the side that I had to attend.
This time I plan to come back to Chennai and write a detailed note on various sessions. I have taken extensive paper notes on the conference though.
