The publishing team should have checks and procedures in place to avoid such embarrasing situations ever occuring in future and be held accountable.

ReplyDeleteIt is really nice to know that you are doing a recall.In india very few organisations do this .Hope you are classifying this as plagiarism and taking care of the author in the negative direction.(This si the second incident I am hearing in this year related to indian author after Kaviya Viswanathan from Harvard).
I appreciate your ethics in business.It was 1993 , I was working for a skin care products Manufacturing facility in BOMBAY.We dispatched the product to one of the leading sunscreen manufacturers in DELHI.Later we found that there was a bolt in the reactor which was rusted. It is not a big deal as the product passed QC and QA, but the chairman of the company said we should get that particular batch(worth of 16 Lakhs in 1993) back to our compound and we got it back.
The person who found the rusted bolt was appreciated , the company has now grown multifolds.
I am sure, yours also will reach its heights.......

P.S:One of my friend mentioned , Even in US lot of Ph.D thesis are cut and paste and the quality of the research in US has gone down,I think CBS did a documentary on this.
